Grebastica is a tranquil settlement particularly suitable for family vacations and ideal for an escape from the city bustle. It is located in a deep bay with crystal-clear sea, nestled between Sibenik and Primosten. The area was historically known for its lush pine forests; while a major fire in 2023 unfortunately destroyed much of the surrounding woods, nature is resilient and the green landscape is now slowly recovering and renewing itself. Each of our apartments is spread across its own floor and has a separate entrance. In addition, you can count on being welcomed by a spotlessly clean accommodation unit, ensuring extra peace of mind and health security during your stay. TThe most significant historical monument of this area is definitely “Bedem”—a very well-preserved defensive wall built in 1497 that is truly worth seeing. You can also visit the old church of Sts. Peter and Mary, or the highly appreciated natural water spring known as “Kanela”. Alternatively, you can just walk along the seaside promenade and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere at your own pace. There are many other historical towns and areas you can visit during your stay in Grebastica to experience the magical beauty of nature and culture: Primosten (only 15 min), Sibenik (only 20 min), Vodice (30 min), Skradin (30 min), Trogir (50 min), Knin (1 h), Split (1 h), Zadar (1 h), or even Dubrovnik for a longer day trip (4 h).The Sibenik-Knin County boasts the most indented coastline on the Adriatic, with an archipelago counting 249 islands, islets, cliffs, and reefs. It is highly recommended to visit some of them, like the island of Krapanj (famous for its sea sponges) or the island of Zlarin (famous for its corals).Must-see natural attractions nearby include two breathtaking national parks: the stunning Krka Waterfalls (50 min) and the pearls of the Adriatic, the Kornati Islands (30 min to the boat departure point). If you are willing to travel a bit further, you can visit Plitvice Lakes National Park (2.5 h), which has been protected by UNESCO since 1979. .We also warmly recommend trying the delicious local Croatian cuisine and excellent Dalmatian wines. We are sure you will find among many possibilities - your personal way to explore, enjoy and to remember!
