APARTMENT MARISA HVAR Important information about the apartment and Hvar Town: ENTERING: attic (loft) front door on the rooftop terrace (keybox/locker password: 2206) ELECTRIC WATER HEATER Once you enter the apartment, you’ll see three switches next to the bathroom door. The middle one is a water heater switch and you switch it ON so you’ll have warm water available during your stay. Wifi network name: EON_CE98 ; Wifi password: R26cyfFd The wi-fi network name and password are also written on a paper attached to the refrigerator. There is also a printed two pages similar description info on the tiny desk in the corner. BINS BIN card is located usually on the refrigerator. You will need to scan this card to open the bins in Hvar Town. The mixed waste containers are located not far from the apartment, on the way to the town center and main square, just distant enough to the entrance of KONZUM , the largest supermarket in Hvar. Paper, plastic and glass go in the assigned separate bins in the apartment. AIR CONDITION Please MONITOR THE LEVEL OF WATER that goes from the AC to the bucket on the balcony. Once the bucket is full, please empty it so the water does not spill over the balcony to our neighbors’ place. TV SET & internet connection There are two remote controllers. One for switching TV on and the other for receiver. (optical internet and TV "EON" android box from legal provider) HOUSE RULES There are three different families living in this house on different floors. The chief of Hvar Town emergency service lives just on the floor below. I am sure you can imagine how demanding his job is, especially during summer, so please be respectful and considerate. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION Bus station is located just a few minutes from the apartment on the way to town center. The busses can take you to and from the ferry port in Stari Grad and to some other places on the island that you might want to visit during your stay. GROCERY STORES, BARS, RESTAURANTS, VISITOR INFO Except for the aforementioned “Konzum” supermarket there is also a bakery and outdoor market just around the corner. You can’t really miss it on your way to town center. There are smaller grocery stores around town as well. The pharmacy and the Hvar Tourist Board are located on the main town square (Piazza). SUGGESTIONS(My favorites) Restaurant “KONOBA ALVIŽ” : an old house family mediterannean garden place nearest to the apartment. (opens 6 pm) Restaurant "KALUMA" : "Piazza" family tradition Restaurant “MIZAROLA” : a little stroll from home Beach bar and kitchen “FALKO” , it takes about half an hour to get there but this one is top notch! Turn right once you pass the "piazza" & follow the sea promenade. Beach “POKONJI DOL” , about 35 minute walk but turn left once you get to the bottom of the town square and stick to the waterfront on that side. It is by far the nicest beach in Hvar with two restaurants across. “TERACA BAR” – just climb the stairs between piazza and rive and get to the terrace Very nice view, interior & music. Once you are on the terrace you can also enter “ARSENAL” , one of two oldest public theaters in Europe. “VENERANDA” : check their schedule and enjoy movies, concerts or various different events held at this old fortress. “FRANCISCAN MONASTERY” :beautifully located monastery where concerts and theatre show are held as well. Gallery “HVAROOM” : look for a colorful window on the main square and search for the entrance in the tiny street behind. Gallery: “Made in Hvar” (piazza centrale) “PAKLINSKI ISLANDS” : book a taxi boat to take you to Mlini or Ždrilca bay. I recommend Mlini beach and "Mamato bar".
